Payouts and the host statement

Paying a month in full or in part, what the host receives, and settling a clawback.

6 minute read

Host payouts is the settlement screen: what each site is owed, what you have sent, and what is still open. It is the last stop in the money chain — everything above it (tax, cost, the venue's deal, payroll) has already decided the numbers you see here.

TileMeans
Owed nowAccrued and not yet sent, across every site and month

ReferrersCuts owed to whoever introduced the sites — your cost, not the host's
ClawbackOverpaid because a sale was refunded after you had already paid
  1. Read the row before you pay

Each row shows the site, the month, the basis, and the arithmetic — for example “25.00% of $1,862.37 profit ($3,541.67 sales − $1,679.30 product)”. If that sentence does not match the signed agreement, fix the venue rather than the payment.

  2. Pay in full, or pay part

The button pays the whole remaining balance. A smaller payment is normal — record what you actually sent and the rest stays open on the same month. Partial payments keep their receipt: the month does not revert to unpaid when the next sale recomputes it.

  3. Stamp the account

Enter the last four digits of the account you paid from or to, and they are recorded against the payout so a host asking “which account was that?” can be answered without opening your bank.

  4. Send the statement

Every site has its own statement, reachable from the row or from the venue. It is written to be forwarded to the host untouched.

The statement shows the site, the machines pooled into it, the agreement in words, every month with the base and the percentage, whether a monthly minimum was applied, and each payment with the account's last four. Referrer cuts are deliberately absent: a referrer is paid out of your side and never reduces the host's share, so a third party's terms do not belong on the host's document.

A month with no minimum and no sales shows zero, not nothing

A site that sold nothing still gets a statement line reading zero. That is intentional — a host who can see the month was counted and came to zero raises fewer questions than a host looking at a gap.

Before you send money
  • The basis on the row matches the signed agreement
  • The base is net of sales tax — never the tax-inclusive total
  • Product cost is real if this host shares profit
  • Any clawback from a refund is settled or explained to the host first
  • The account's last four on the payout matches the account you actually used
Can I pay a month before it ends?

Yes. The month accrues continuously, so paying mid-month settles what has accrued so far and later sales reopen the balance for the remainder.

I paid too much by mistake.

You cannot: a payout above what the host earned is refused, and the message tells you the amount that month supports. If a host is owed more, it belongs to a different month.

The host wants one statement covering two of my machines.

Put both serials on the single venue. The statement then pools them and says so, which is what the host expects when they gave you one room.

Does Operator X send the ACH?

No. It computes what is owed, records what you sent, and holds the statement. The transfer happens at your bank.
